Obituary of Janice Helene Richman

Janice Helene Richman (nee Roberts)

April 8, 1950 – April 22, 2023

Last residence: 215 High Ridge Road (Unit 316) Stamford, Connecticut 06905

With the tenacity of the tiger that she was, Janice was taken from this world at 3:05 AM on Friday April 22, 2023.

After a long, grueling and painful battle with cancer her time on earth ended (in hospice care) with love, attention and her own ever-persistent smile. She is now, mercifully, at eternal rest and finally free of pain.

Survived by her heart-broken Husband, Gilbert after more than 4 decades of blissful marriage, enduring friendship and true partnership in every respect.

Also survived by her sister Eileen (Roberts), and her niece Kara (Roberts) of Manassas, Virginia and other adoring, geographically scattered, nieces and nephews and their children. 

Also survived by countless friends, old and new, young and not-so-young, to each of whom Janice projected her love of life, her brilliant mind, her kindness and generosity and an ever-present sense of humor tempered with a cutting wit.

In accordance with her wishes, there will not be any formal recognition or service at this time; and also at her request, her remains are to be cremated and her ashes will be sprinkled over the ocean. A future memorial service may be planned.
