Obituary of Muoi Do

Muoi Do, age 89, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Stamford, CT on April 16, 2023.  Muoi was born on December 18, 1933 in Saigon, Vietnam. Muoi had a small family noodle business in Saigon.  In 1986 she immigrated with her family to Stamford, CT with the hopes of a better life.  

In addition to her parents, Muoi was predeceased by her husband Ha Tu, sisters Mui Do, An Do and son Ha Xu Tu(spouse Lien Lu) . Muoi is survived by her younger brother Hung Do, 4 sons:  Ha  (spouse Linda), Tai (spouse Dona), Luc (spouse DaoVo), Buu (spouse Thanh) and daughter Michelle (spouse Phon Chuc). Muoi’s twelve grandchildren Tony, Tran, Peter, Quinn, Anh, Minh, Hai, Kevin, Timothy, Lawrence, Kimberly and Antony. Her six great grandchildren Emma, Leanna, David, Jin, Ava, and Armin whom she adored and communicated with them daily. 

Muoi devoted her life to her family and could always be found passionately cooking delicious meals or gardening around the yard. Family and friends were always surprised with bags full of banh bao’s or spring rolls when departing Muoi’s house.  Muoi is known for her love, kindness and strength. Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy and love she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.   Most of all, she is loved by her family and instilled good values in her children which has served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever loved. 

Flowers and Memorial gifts are welcome, but not necessary.
