Obituary of Jessie Lee Bardliving
Jessie Lee “BIRD” Bardliving Age 75 of Stamford, Ct. passed away Saturday December 3, 2022.
Jessie was born to her parents Lillian Powell Smith and Booker T. Smith in Carrollton, GA. Where she grew up and graduated from Carver High School in Carrollton, Georgia.
As a teenager she migrated to Portchester N.Y. where she began her work career at Mechtronics and U.S Surgical. After attending a job/career training course she landed her dream job as a data entry office manager@ Custom Data Systems where she retired after 25 yrs.+ of service.
She loved her job and had the pleasure of supporting a few of Stamford’s well-known business and political bigwigs, Mike Pavia and Bobby Valentine as well as her Boss Joe Romano. She immediately became a diehard Mets Fan
Jessie enjoyed entertaining, cooking big meals, baking, going out to dance and throwing big holiday parties. She also enjoyed having friends over for card games and the occasional trip to the casinos.
Jessie loved to dress to the NINES whether going to church or to an event with her husband of 34 years James Aaron Douglas Bardliving JR.
Jimmy AND Jessie AKA George and Weezy.
Jimmy loved him some Jessie and Jessie loved her some Jimmy and that love led them to tie the knot..
Where else but LAS VEGAS…
Jessie also had a love for cosmetology and hairdressing. At the height of the Jheri Curl Pandemic Jessie became the Local “Hood Hairdresser” which became A VERY LUCRATIVE IN HOME BUSINESS FOR HER.
Jessie was Predeceased By Her parents (Above) , Mary McDonald (sister), Lauren Smith-Fields (granddaughter)
She is survived by her Loving Husband James A.D. Bardliving Jr., her siblings; Carol Smith and Robert Smith of Carrollton, GA ,Linda McDonald(Stamford, CT) and Brenda Ward(Wappingers Falls, NY). Her daughter Lydia Smith(Norwalk, CT)., her son Everett Smith(Stamford, CT) and her grandkids ( Jerome ,Dominique, Daniel, David and Tavar ). As well as her niece/daughter Whitney Bardliving(Bridgeport, CT) and nephew Kashif Bardliving(New Haven,CT). A host of nieces and nephews and great grandkids whom she treated all as her biological children.
Jessie touched a lot of lives while she was with us. Her generous heart and infectious smile coupled with her uncanny sense of humor could win over the most hardened heart,
