Obituary of Juan L. Lopez

Juan Luis Lopez passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on November 12, 2022. Luis was survived by his loving children (Jorge, Julio, Elizabeth and Paola), his caring siblings (Alberto, Cesar, and Magda), his adoring grandchildren (Jonathan, Cynthia, Alexander, Stephanie, Jorge Luis, Nicole, Piero, and Gianfranco), and his compassionate partner Beata Miranda.

Luis Lopez was born in Ancash, Peru on June 21^st, 1931, where he spent most of his childhood. He immigrated to the United States in 1983 where he started working as an engraver. He loved to spend time with his family, especially during the holidays and birthdays. He especially loved to dance the tango and create special memories. Luis was always a man that put others first before himself, even until the end. Papa Lucho, a name given by grandchildren, was always entertaining and fun to be around. He will be surely missed by all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held from 11 am to 12:30 pm, November 16^th, 2022 at the Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford CT, (203) 359-9999.  A mass will be held shortly after at 1pm at St. Clement’s Church, 535 Fairfield Avenue, Stamford CT.
