Obituary of Frank M. Anzalone

Frank M. Anzalone of Stamford, Ct peacefully passed away on November 1, 2022 at the age of 82.

Frank was born July 27, 1940 in Stamford to Giovanni and Angelina (Conti) Anzalone.  He graduated from Stamford High School in 1959 where he was a standout football player. He joined the US Army and served in Germany from 1961 to 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1967. He worked in manufacturing until his retirement in 2002.

Frank enjoyed playing tennis and was an avid runner, completing countless 5Ks and 3 full marathons. He also enjoyed coaching youth sports in Stamford, including Pop Warner Football and with the Federal and Springdale Little Leagues.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 47 years; Noreen (Craig), his son Michael, brother Joe and wife Beverly, John and wife Colleen, and a multitude of in-laws and nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents Giovanni and Angelina, and his niece Jennifer Anzalone.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 4-7 pm at Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home 104 Myrtle Ave Stamford, Ct (203)-359-9999.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at St Leo Parish, 24 Roxbury Rd Stamford, CT.  Interment will follow at St John Cemetery, Darien, CT.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org/ct.
