My Mom,Arlene De Silva, asks me to tell you, Kevin, that she remembers your Mom and how friendly she was. She believes they attended a few Sacred Heart Academy fundraiser auctions together. My Mom is not online . Your Dad and his twin brother were my Grams much loved doctors,so I remember hearing the name Quick at a young age!
I also remember you from hanging out with the Venetucci's,especially Tony, and the Connells, especially Amanda. May God's blessing remain upon you as you adapt to this new life and may your faith bring you peace.and hope.Your memories will help, as do mine of my Dad Dennis, the famous rose gardener of 42 Andover Rd in the Cove, just 2 blocks from you.
Sincerely,
Arlene J. De Silva and Valerie De Silva McLauchlan

For all who loved Moe, and by that I mean all that met her, my condolences. As my godmother, Moe was a fixture in my early life that I will always cherish. While I know my childhood antics provided her emotional ups and downs and a wealth of memories, her retelling of the stories was always done with a laugh. And if you know Moe, you know it was a whole hearted laugh. She expressed as much joy telling the stories as her audience did listening to them. Regardless of how embarrassing the stories may have been on the surface, she had a way of talking that made you feel special to be a focus of the conversation, and you knew she was always coming from a place of love. While being charged with my religious upbringing was probably an impossible challenge, she still took joy in trying graciously. I still remember the excitement in her eyes when I told here I went to a CCD class just to find out what it was all about. While those hopes may have been rapidly dashed, it in no way dampened the love and caring she filled me with. We will all miss her, and know she is in a better place, but as important I appreciate her impact on this world while she was with us. The number of lives she impacted be it through her nursing, CCD teaching, or just friendships is too numerous to fathom, and will carry on her legacy as they as they pass on a little piece of the love she showered upon them.
