Obituary of Martha B. Bryant

“On Thursday, May 5, 2022, Martha “Marty” Bryant, loving wife and mother, passed away, peacefully, at the age of 84.

Marty was born in New York, New York to Marshal and Elizabeth Bacon. She became a wife, mother and homemaker, and later, enjoyed a 30+ year career as an office manager and receptionist for a thriving orthodontic practice in Stamford, CT. She wished to be remembered as an outgoing person with big, brown eyes. She loved the beach, music and attending live concerts and shows. Marty was an avid Mahjong player, she was also fond of cooking, creating embroidery pictures and reading murder mystery fiction.

Marty was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, Douglas, and stepson, Edward, Jr. (E.J.). 
She is survived by her devoted husband, Edward, Sr., one child, Caden, four stepchildren; Robert, Susan, Doug and Betty Jo, and numerous step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

A private, simple graveside service, attended by family, will be held in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to The Oxford Senior Center. Please send checks directly to the Center, in her memory, at 10 Old Church Road, Oxford, CT 06478”
