Obituary of Daniel Peter Colangelo

Daniel Peter Colangelo born November 22, 1941 died on April 11, 2022.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Sabia Colangelo, 3 daughters, Brenda McKenna (Shaun), Patty Pullano (Anthony), Danielle Sibilia (Ted) and 6 grandchildren.  Ryan Daniel and Megan McKenna, Gabriella & Dante Daniel Pullano, and Sydney and Sophia Sibilia.

Dan was a lifelong Stamford resident, President of Fairco Oil Company and later worked for Petro Home Services.  He was an only child and a great athlete. His friends remembered he always had the game bat and ball and when his mom called him for dinner the bat and ball left and the game was over.  A season ticket holder at Yankee stadium where he passionately watched his favorite team with his family.

He loved to play golf and will be remembered for always making the sign of the cross with his club over the ball before teeing off.  He never got mad on the golf course, even if he had a bad shot.  A reflection of how he approached life, nothing bothered him.  He was diagnosed with Parkinson's 10 years ago and he never complained.  He took what life presented and made the best of it.

He would have been married 59 years on May 11 to his childhood sweetheart.
Dan was a gentlemen, who was friendly and kind.  He had a smile that warmed your heart and was liked by everyone he met.  He died on April 11th, World Parkinson's Day.
