Dear Bernadette, Margaret, Trish, Martin, Larry, and all those in your family,
At this sad time, I want you all to know how much Martin meant to me as a memorable part of my childhood. He was so much fun every summer when I would spend a few weeks each year in Port Chester with my Aunt Frances and Uncle Paul. Martin was always there with his infectious laughter, jokes, and good humor when we would go to the beach, where he would challenge me to race him out to the float. He would be the first to go on all the scary rides with me at Playland, and he and Bernadette were so warm and generous as they welcomed me to their wonderful Sunday dinners. These times growing up were so precious to me, and helped form my own sense of playfulness with others as I grew older. Martin was a kind and gentle man, whose memory will live in my heart always. I extend to all of you my deepest condolences knowing how much you will all miss him and treasure his loving influence in your own lives.
With much love and care, Barbara Ganim

I read the obituary notice today in the Journal News and am deeply saddened by the loss of this fine man who I came to know many years ago through our mutual association with Boy Scout Troop 11 in Port Chester. In particular I recall the Order Of The Arrow inauguration at Camp Siwanoy when our boys also underwent the rigorous weekend.
Our deepest sympathy to the family.
