Obituary of Carol Sue Williams

Carol Sue Williams of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 17th, she was 81. Carol was born in New York City, daughter of the late Fred and Betty Taub, and grew up in Washington Heights.  She attended City College and graduated at age 19 with a Bachelor’s degree in English.

Carol, a Stamford resident since 1965, worked at Northeast Elementary school for more than 20 years as a teacher’s aide. She was passionate about good food, traveling near and far to find the most delicious fare. No hole in the wall spot was left unexplored.

Carol was an extremely devoted wife and mother who was especially passionate about her family’s advancement and education. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Larry, her sister Margery (husband Howard)  her 5 children Robert, Sally (husband Andy), Jennifer (wife Ann), Laurence (wife LeeAnn) and Douglas, as well as her three grandchildren, the joys of her life, Eric, Meredith and Elizabeth.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. The family will be hosting a memorial reception at Pellicci’s Restaurant on Saturday, February 24th from 12:30pm - 3:30pm.  Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas M.
