Theresa Larobina Fedeli, 91, died Tuesday, January 5, at home after a long illness. She was born in Stamford on January 11, 1930, the youngest daughter of Mary Stramandonoli Larobina and Dominick Larobina. Theresa attended Stamford public schools and graduated from Stamford High School in 1947. She attended J.M. Wright Techical and graduated in 1948 with a license in beauty culture. In 1950, Theresa married her childhood sweetheartt, Dante B. Fedeli. They were married for 68 years before Mr. Fedeli’s death in 2018. She worked in Stamford beauty parlors for 14 years including Vanity Fair and Tint and Tone. Theresa later worked as a teacher’s aide at Rice Elementary School and Saint John’s Parochial School, where she forged life-long relationships with many of her students. She was a parishioner of St. Clement Church for 70 years. A longtime member of the Saint Clement’s Ladies Guild, she used her organizational and social skills to plan and operate many parish events including church fairs, tag and bake sales and raffles. Theresa was a longtime member of the Columbiettes. She was awarded Mother of the Year by the District Council of Catholic churches in 2003. Theresa was awarded the prestigious Saint Augustine Medal of Service by the Diocese of Bridgeport in 2006. She practiced her Catholic faith by working in Stamford soup kitchens and other local charities for many years and often performed personal acts of charity for Stamford’s poor, sick and homeless people. Theresa was a vivacious fun-loving woman who greatly enjoyed parties and family get togethers. Always the life of the party, she loved a good story or a good song by Sinatra, Elvis and Fats Domino, often singing along with them on the radio. She was a kind, unselfish and generous wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her extended family with absolute loyalty. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Dante B. Fedeli, her sister Katherine Macari and her parents, Dominick and Mary Larobina. She is survived by her three children: Frank M. Fedeli and his wife, Mary Ann, Richard J. Fedeli and Mary Lisa Fedeli all of Stamford, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three nieces and four nephews. The Fedeli family is very grateful for the fine and loving care Sil Tarozza gave to our mother for four years. Contributions in Theresa’s name may be made to Saint Clement Church and to ARI of Connecticut (Always Reaching For Indepence). Visitation will be held from 9 am to 11 am on Monday, January 10, 2022 at THOMAS M. GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME (same building as Cognetta Funeral Home) 104 Myrtle Ave Stamford, CT (203)-359-9999. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12 pm on Monday, January 10, 2022 at St Clement of Rome 535 Fairfield Ave Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at St John Cemetery Darien, CT. My Tribute Gift Foundation makes this online charitable giving portal web page MyTributeGift.org (the “Website”) available to you subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”). Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.
If in any part of these Terms of Use is held, by a court of competent jurisdiction, to be invalid or unenforceable, such part of these Terms of Use shall be eliminated to the extent permitted in that jurisdiction, for purposes of that jurisdiction, and the remaining Terms of Use shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms of Use and your use of the Website are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and all federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of the Province of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms of Use or your use of the Website.
These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and My Tribute Gift Foundation with respect to the Website, except as we may explicitly agree otherwise in writing.. No delay or failure to exercise any right with respect to these Terms of Use shall be construed as a waiver by My Tribute Gift Foundation.
As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified. It is your responsibility to review these Terms of Use regularly.
