Should I Pre-Pay for My Funeral?

We at Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home believe that everyone deserves a dignified send-off. We offer professional, compassionate, and affordable funeral services in Stamford CT and the surrounding communities. We take pride in informing you that we serve all religions and faiths. You should even have the right to plan out your own funeral. But how exactly does one do that?

Pre-Planning Can Take the Burden off of Your Family

Pre-planning the final arrangements gives the individual the opportunity of making choices on how it will be carried out. It would also reduce concerns of the family at the time of the death. In order to pre-plan the service, you can get in touch and book an appointment with one of our staff. They will sit down with you and discuss your preferences and options. We will consider your choice of site, the service, and the type of permanent memorial. By making these decisions beforehand, it will offer the family some peace and also make it a bit more affordable.

Make Arrangements at Today’s Rates

Pre-planning is different from pre-paying. While pre-planning, you don’t have to pay for everything. Your family can pay for the service during the funeral at the price being charged at the time. However, if you choose to pre-pay, you will be able to make all the arrangements at today’s rates. We can assist you with investment options and an affordable payment plan if you wish to go ahead with pre-planning.

The money you pre-pay will be used in its entirety towards the cremation or burial services. Once we receive the payment, we will deposit it in a trust, from which it cannot be released until after the funeral is provided. Pre-planning and pre-paying does have some advantages. While the financial benefit is the most obvious one, there are also some emotional benefits. You can also choose the arrangements according to your wish. We also offer grief support in addition to the traditional funeral and cremation services.

If you want to talk to one of our directors about pre-planning and pre-paying for your funeral or if you have any funeral related questions, feel free to contact Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home anytime. We're happy to help.
